Trumpets first opened in 1985 and it soon became the best Jazz venue in the state of NJ. The best musicians in the world performed at Trumpets: Gato Barbieri, Wynton Marsalis, Benny Golson nd Dave Valentin, to name a few.
In October 1999, the club was acquired by Enrico Granafei and Kristine Massari. A musician himself, Enrico used to perform at Trumpets years ago. .
The club closed its doors permanently in October 2019
